Import your Facebook posts
Bring your own Facebook posts into this project. Each one lands in your Archive at its date, with its words and photos.
1. Export your information from Facebook
- On Facebook, click your profile picture, then Settings & privacy → Settings → Meta Account → Your information and permissions → Export your information.
- Click Create export, choose your Facebook profile, then Export to device.
- Pick the dates you want, set Format to JSON and Media quality to High, then click Start export.
- Facebook lets you know when it's ready. Download it from Available downloads within 4 days — every file, if there are several. There's no need to unzip them.

- Instagram lets you know when it's ready — it can take up to 30 days. Download it from Available downloads within 4 days — every file, if there are several. There's no need to unzip them.
2. Add the downloaded file
Drop your Facebook download here — the .zip, or every .zip if Facebook split it.
3. Choose what to bring in
Choose the years and months to bring in. One year per project makes a good book.
That's a lot for one book. A year or two per project keeps each book a comfortable size.
Keep this page open until the import finishes. If it stops, drop the same download again — posts already imported are skipped.
