Turn your old letters
into a book.
You scan them, and we print them: every page as you scanned it, handwriting and all. We don't scan, type out or bind your original letters, and they never leave your hands. Upload each letter as a PDF with the date it was written, and it prints in order beside your family's emails and photos — printed and bound with a personalized cover, or kept as a digital book.

Scan each letter to a PDF.
Use a scanner or a scanning app on your phone, one PDF for each letter. A letter of several pages, with its envelope if you want it, goes in as one PDF.
Upload it and date it.
Sign up free, click Upload Files and choose the PDF. Give it a title and the date it was written, and it lands in your Archive in order among your emails and photos.
Preview it, then order.
See a free sample of your book, then approve a proof of every page before you pay.
What comes in.
Every page, as written
Each page of a letter prints as one page of your book, scaled to fit with a white margin, so nothing is cut off.
Each letter at its date
Upload each letter as its own PDF, dated the day it was written, and your book reads in order. A PDF holding many letters lands at one date.
Long letters and envelopes
Every page of a letter, and its envelope if you like, in one PDF.
Its title, if you want it
Give a letter a title, like "Dad to Mom, June 1952", and print it at the top of its first page.
Beside their emails and photos
Forward the emails the same person sent and upload their photos, and it all prints together in date order.
Journals and diaries
Scan a journal to a PDF, and it prints page for page, in the writer's own hand.
Cards, too.
Birthday cards, Christmas cards, the cards from a wedding: scan each card to a PDF, front and inside, and it prints as pages of your book at the date you give it. Or scan a year's holiday cards into one PDF, at that year's date. Each card prints scaled to a page; the cards themselves stay with you.
Letters from someone you've lost.
Scan the letters they wrote, forward the emails they sent you, and make a book of them, in the order they were written. A Digital Book (PDF) is ready in 24 hours to share at the service. Printed copies for the family usually arrive in about 2 weeks, and you can order as many as you'd like.
Questions.
Will you scan or type out my letters?
No. You scan them, and we print each page as you scanned it. We don't scan, transcribe or bind your originals, and they never leave your hands.
What's the best way to scan them?
One PDF for each letter, from a scanner or a scanning app on your phone. Each PDF page prints as a whole page of your book. A photo of a letter, added through Upload Photos, prints at photo size, a few inches across.
Do I upload them one at a time?
Yes: one PDF at a time, up to 50 MB each, each with its own title and date. That's what puts every letter in its place in the book. A PDF that asks for a password can't be read, so remove the password first.
How much should go in one book?
Each book is made from one project's Archive. One person's letters, a couple's letters to each other, or a whole family's can each be a project, and a book of its own. Order as many copies as you'd like.
What does it cost?
Uploading is free, and so are your account and Archive. You pay only when you order a book: a Printed Book from $29.99, or a Digital Book (PDF) from $14.99 — 100 pages included, then 10¢ a page (4¢ for digital), and each page of a PDF is a page of your book. Forty letters of three pages each come to about $32 for a Printed Book, before shipping. You see the exact price before you pay.
