In your Facebook or Instagram settings, open Export your information and request a download, with Format set to JSON and Media quality to High. Facebook or Instagram lets you know when it's ready.
Import it.
Sign up free, click Import from Facebook or Import from Instagram, and drop in the download. Choose the years and months you want; each post lands in your Archive at the date you posted it.

Who was there, and where
A Facebook post's tags and place print as one line beneath its words: "— with Ana and Sam at Lake Tahoe". An Instagram post gets its place line too.
Every photo, in order
A post's photos come in with it, and an Instagram carousel stays one post, in its order.
Videos, as a still
Each video prints as a still frame taken from it, labelled Video; one that won't play prints as a plain Video box.
Your Facebook albums, if you want them
Album photos that were never in a post can come in too, one entry per album per day.

What do you read from my download?
Only your posts and their photos and videos, and we keep a copy of them with your project. Your messages and everything else in the download stay on your computer.
Does every book print my posts' words?
Memory Print and Memory Digital print every post in full — its words and photos — in date order. Photo Print and Photo Digital are photo albums: they print your posts' photos, never their words.
How much should go in one book?
Each book is made from one project's Archive, and you choose the years and months each import brings in. One year per project makes a good book.
What if an import stops part-way?
Drop the same download again. Posts already in your Archive are skipped, and the rest come in.
What about posts from another platform?
Save their photos and add them with Upload Photos, choosing the date they belong to.
